Just wanted to thank everyone who attended our first event last weekend, for those who where unable to attend we made it to the semifinals. Special thanks to FIRST Team 1279, Cold Fusion, for selecting us as an alliance partner!

Just wanted to remind everyone that they should arrive at St Joes by 8:00am for the bus to NJIT. The dress code is either the robotics jersey or a St Joes T-shirt. Hope to see you all tomorrow!

We just added a forum to the website where students and parents can now chat, share ideals, and post comments on all thing FIRST! To use it all you have to do is follow these steps! After you register just let me know and I will activate you account.

Website Updates

Just wanted to let everyone know about some important updates to the website, if you look on the right side of the page under “Important Links” you will see a new link called “Parent/Student Information” or “Team Info” on the main navigation bar above, on this page you will find important information like an all new registration form that everyone should complete, any important documents that need to be filled out, and a calendar of upcoming events. Students should check this page regularly for important information.

Hope everyone had a great summer and hope to see you Tuesday at break for our first meeting!

2011 SBPLI Regional Winner

FIRST Team 1626 was named Champion of the 2011 SBPLI Long Island Regional along with FIRST Team 229, Division by Zero from Potsdam, NY and FIRST Team 375, the Robotic Plague, of Staten Island. We Finished the Qualification Matches with a record of 9 wins and only 1 loss which earned us a spot in the Elimination Matches as the number one seed. In the Elimination Matches FIRST Team 1626 along with FIRST Teams 229, and 375 won all Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final Matches, ending the competition with a record of 15 wins and only 1 loss, earning the title Regional Champion.
